Aylesbury Vale District Council has granted outline planning permission for Aylesbury Woodlands to Buckinghamshire Advantage, the delivery arm of Buckinghamshire Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership (BTVLEP).
Part of the Aylesbury Vale Enterprise Zone, Aylesbury Woodlands is a large-scale development that includes commercial opportunities, significant road infrastructure and housing, including 165 custom build plots.
The 200 hectare site is a significant element in Aylesbury’s growth ambitions as a Garden Town, with the new Eastern Link Road pivotal for the master plan.
As recently reported in Custom Build Strategy, Aylesbury Woodlands has included 165 custom build plots as part of its housing mix, which it worked with NaCSBA’s Right To Build Task Force on.
Richard Harrington, Managing Director of Buckinghamshire Advantage, said: “We are delighted with the outcome of our outline planning application for Aylesbury Woodlands.
“This now gives us the opportunity to progress with this important development to help plug gaps in infrastructure provision, to grow jobs, build a sustainable community and enhance access to open space and new community facilities.
To this end we would welcome interest from commercial partners in the development of this site.”
